Write 2 Lite - Note Taking & Writing App Reviews

Im am currently in the process of writing a book, now at 80,000 words, all on Write 2. During this year of almost constant use, Ive learned a lot about the apps pros and cons. Pros: 1. It automatically creates backups of each chapter. 2. It has a trash bin you can search though if you accidentally delete an document. 3. It is easy to create folders and files, and just all together easy to use. Cons: 1. The longest document it can handle is about 10,000 words, and it gets so lagged it is difficult to use at this point. Probably more of an iPod thing than app thing. 2. I cant have two different fonts in the same document. 3. If you save a document without wifi, you have to change it before it can upload it to Dropbox after you reconnect. I also discovered that the spell check as issues with the name Serafim, not just because it doesnt think it is a word, but honest to goodness glitches. It will capitalise the next word in a sentence if it is first, it wont put a period afterwards if you double space, things like that. It really bites since he is my main character, but this probably wont be an issue for anyone else in the whole world.

Theres no use in getting this app. You cant even write on here, without downloading another app called writemate. They want you to upgrade to the full version so bad its not even funny. You can tell when you read the apps capabilities.You have to have the full version to do anything. It says that too lol. Dont waste your time. I will not be upgrading either.

It is okay. But it should have an option to share on twitter Instagram tumblr etc. and I dont like the set up or lay out of the app. It could be WAY better

Overall I would like the GUI to be a bit better and maybe some different formatting options. Possibly change the background of the text file to a blank white screen and change the look of it a bit. Maybe to something more modern. Everything that the person said above me was not true all. You do not need anything else but the app itself to write. I dont know where he got the idea that you need another app to use this one. Anyways, developers, listen to my advice below, and users, I definitely recommend that you try this app.

I love this app. It is very straight forward and has no limits. Only thing is i would like a word count maybe.

I really enjoy this app, Im definitely going to be upgrading since it seems to be the cheapest and best working writing app available on iOS. The only complaint I have is that a couple of times, Ive exited the app and when I went back later, I found that the last few sentences or paragraph I wrote disappeared somehow. Im not sure if its a bug or if I didnt exit properly (I dont see why it wouldnt auto-save upon exit anyway though) but as long as I dont have that issue in the upgrade, Im happy. Anyway, this app is great but if you have the $3 to spare for the premium version and you know youre going to use it regularly, Id suggest just going with that and not bothering with this.

Norrwen: You did need to use another app in the past for this (one that cost), but they mustve changed it with an update. My review: Its a simple writing app. Its not terrible, but not the best either. Unfortunately I prefer to have more features. App is not for me.

It doesnt let you write. It doesnt let you save. And oh, it crashes constantly as well. If this was supposed to persuade me to buy the full version, it fails.

Its like the best writing app for me. Im a fanfiction author and I was looking for an app that could write all sorts of fanfiction and regular fiction! This is a must download app. You can have several folders and files at once. You can choose themes and fonts and its really great. Almost like a pocket Microsoft word. You have to get this app!!

You can write in this app you just have to press on the little + in the lower right corner. You can save your work too. Look around the app and learn to use it.

Wanted to give this a try but the trial limits what you might be able to do way too much. The preloaded Notes app on the iPad is much better than this app from what I could experience.

Lousy app. Cant recommend it. Very crippled for something that was supposed to convince me to pay for the full version. When I hit the link it just took me to some dark hole in the depths of the internet and doesnt even show up in the app store.

Cannot find server to upgrade, see no point in moving forward with this at all.

Its okay as long as you have the time to go back through and spell check youself, if you dont care if you cant seen what you are typing at the bottom of the page due to adds. Over all, This app needs a bit more work unless you really are going to spend $3 on the upgrade.

Are you listening. I have tried twice to contact the designers of this app so that I can upgrade to the full version. I am not getting any responses from any one. All I need is help getting to the website to upgrade to the full version. For some reason the website isnt opening on my iPad after several attempts. I would love to enjoy the full version of this app if only someone would help me do so. I would rather not post this bad review but rather be able to upgrade. Customer service is number one right?

The iPad version is better! I have the iPad version and its a great writing, saving, filing and sending app. The iPhone free version is terrible! Keeps asking me annoying questions and I cant figure out how to delete a file. So Im deleting this app!

The app is good, except it deletes the last sentence or two of my work each time. I havent gotten the full version, but I dont really need it. For my purposes, its just fine.
